Corporate Social Responsibility for a Healthier Future

At Healthcare 21 our good reputation is pivotal to our success and our future, which depends on the way we conduct and run our business. Healthcare 21 is committed to being a good corporate citizen.

We take our responsibilities to our customers, employees, suppliers, the community and the environment in which we work seriously.

We believe that we have a strong record of achievement in this regard, but continue to strive to improve our approach to social responsibility, environmental protection and economic development.

Healthcare 21 is committed to serve the communities where we do business, to provide our customers with innovative, cost effective products and services and to protect the health of our workers and our environment.

Healthcare 21 is delighted to be partnering with Pieta House Charity for 2017, as part of our CSR strategy.

Pieta House is a national charity dedicated to helping people in suicidal distress or those who have been bereaved by suicide.

In 2003, Pieta founder and former CEO, Joan Freeman, a practising psychologist, closed down her own counselling business and dedicated her time to finding out how she could help people who were suicidal – what would be beneficial to them and help them get through their dark time. After three years of research, she opened up Pieta House, which quickly became a respected and recognised service for those who were suicidal. All Pieta services are free of charge.

The staff at Healthcare 21 have taken a hands-on approach to this partnership and hosted a number of fundraising activities throughout this past year- mud runs, mountain climbs, bake sales, and a Monster Raffle ! We were also very excited to take part in the Pieta Darkness Into Light 5km Walk on 6th May around the country.

The Fundraising Committee at Healthcare 21 recently held a ‘Night of Light’ in September for all staff, in aid of Pieta House, in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the charity. A Monster Raffle was held on the night with prizes including €500 cash, €250 shopping vouchers, travel vouchers, a Wide Screen TV, BMW Performance Track Day at Mondello Park, 2 night break in 4* Lake Hotel Killarney, 1 night break in 5* Castlemartyr Resort Cork, Afternoon Tea at the Kingsley Hotel Cork, a Premium case of wine plus many more.  This prizes were generously sponsored by our Partners, allowing all funds raised to go directly to Pieta House.

Watch this space for total funds raised at year end !
