The two-day event, from 26th to 27th march 2020, aimed to address the clinical and technical issues faced during ERCP, including the role of EUS in ERCP (ERCP/EUS interface), using a combination of interactive lecture, panel discussion and live case discussion guided by our expert local, national and international faculty.

This year, we also focused on:

  • How to get it right first time (GIRFT) in ERCP, with emphasis on bile duct stone management.
  • ERCP EUS training and Quality Improvement in the wake of “Shape of Training”.
  • Insight into the various ERCP services in the country.
  • The future of ERCP, including discussion on EUS guided bilairy drainage and single use duodenoscopes.

We encouraged trainees and consultants in gastroenterology, hepatobiliary surgery and GI radiology, as well as ERCP radiographers and nurses, to attend and they benefitted from the superb educational opportunities that this symposium provided. 12 RCP CPD points were also awarded.

Utilising sophisticated audio-visual technology, the symposium was an opportunity to engage in multidisciplinary discussions with other delegates in a relaxed and informal environment.
