In this video, Dr Mayur Kumar from the Princess Royal University Hospital, part of King’s College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, shares his experience with the Niti-S Double oesophageal stent, including indications such as distal malignant strictures. He also reports no stent migrations in his case study.

HC21/Aquilant support the Brompton Reducer Webinar

On 14^th October HC21/Aquilant supported the Brompton Reducer Webinar. The event was originally going to be a live event held at the Brompton Hospital, however due to the Covid pandemic the event was adapted to suit a webinar format. The event was a mix of lectures and live cases to demonstrate the Reducer to an audience of cardiologists.

Reducer is a unique and innovative product and offers a huge patient benefit. The webinar created a forum for users and potential users to share their experiences and protocols, as well as building a network. By inviting eminent speakers with a special interest in Microvascular dysfunction, this meeting was great at raising general awareness.

We were delighted to see so many attendees joining on the night with customers and faculty from the UK, Europe, USA, New Zealand and Australia.

Transnasal Endoscopy Webinar Goes Live

Last month saw the Aquilant sponsored 9^th European Transnasal Endoscopy (TNE) Training Workshop which was held for the first time at Kings College hospital, organized by co-course director’s Dr Edward Despott (Royal Free) and Dr Simon Panter (South Tyneside).

The workshop was a huge success with over 75 delegates logging in to the lectures via the webinar platform and while the majority of virtual delegates were from the UK, we also attracted viewers from Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Portugal, Australia, Brazil, Pakistan, Iraq and Japan. A further 24 clinicians who were based on-site were able to get hands on TNE training thanks to the GI models and Fujifilm endoscopes provided by the Aquilant Endoscopy Team.

Transnasal Endoscopy has been thrust into the spotlight during the Covid-19 pandemic as it is seen as a procedure that can help to tackle the back log of patients waiting for upper GI diagnostic procedures, with funding released by NHS England to support the adoption of the technique.
